In my not-so-secret garden

Posted on September 28, 2016
crabapple blossomIf there’s one thing the school holidays does for me, it’s remind me how much I love my garden – I guess it’s an author garden these days. It’s a good size, with lots of secret nooks and crannies, and the boys are happy to spend a lot of time out there, doing whatever it is that boys do.

It’s only in the holidays that I have the time to sit outside in the morning and drink my coffee with Procrastipup. And, now that the nights are getting warmer, I like to stand outside at dusk to see the sky deepening to black and breathe in the scents of rose, murraya, portwine magnolia and jasmine that perfume the night air.

I like to share images of my garden on Instagram, mostly because they brighten my day, also because they give me something beautiful to share on the days when all I’m looking at is a screen with a blinking cursor.

Here are a few I’ve shared lately.
