New A.L. Tait series coming your way

Posted on September 13, 2016

If you’re following me on any of my social media platforms, you would have seen this image pop up last week.

new A.L. Tait series for October 2017Yes, a new A.L. Tait series is coming your way, with the first book launching in October 2017.

I’ll share more details with you as soon as I can.

My current To Do list looks something like this:

• copy edit The Mapmaker Chronicles #4

• structural edit of first book in new series

• write second book in new series

• keep one eye on the plan for the US launch of The Mapmaker Chronicles series

• read screenwriting books for new project

• put last-minute touches to my new Make Time To Write on-demand course (oh, the irony)

Which might explain why things have been a little bit quiet on this blog of late.

Do I miss regular blog posts? Yes, I do. A blog is a wonderful way to sort through your thoughts and give your writing voice free rein. But I am having to make wise choices at present about where I put my words. There are 900+ posts on this site now (which equates to about 500,000 words… let’s take a moment to think about that…), many of them about writing, the writing process or other information for writers.

At the moment, rather than writing about writing, I’m just… writing.

If you’re missing my regular writing and publishing industry tips and posts, don’t forget that you can hear Val and I talk about such matters every week on the So You Want To Be A Writer podcast, where I also share the ins and outs of my author (and other) life.

And if you want to catch me on a daily basis, you’ll find me on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. I have discovered that short and snappy (plus one blog post a week) is suiting my current work/life balance.

In the meantime, I’ll be over here, writing/editing/scarfing salt-and-vinegar chips, and I’ll see you again next week!
